Handmade | Ilford Tesuki-Washi EchiZen 110
Stop the press! It’s time to celebrate handmade and sustainable. Ilford have released the most exquisite Tesuki-Washi EchiZen paper. It is stunning!
Tesuki - Washi is a Japanese term (translated to mean ‘handmade Japanese paper’) which describes traditional methods of papermaking incorporating the use of authentic tools and local natural fibers - in this instance the fibers of Mulberry (Kozo) and Hemp from the Echizen region of Japan. Each piece of this paper is an original work of fine art in itself! A glimpse into this fabulous traditional process can be viewed on the Ilford website.
Perth Pro Lab have printed one of my new release Esperance prints Refuge, captured at West Beach, Western Australia onto the Echizen 110 stock and I’m in love! The texture on this paper is like nothing else and I’m thrilled to be offering it as a new option for all prints on The Print Store. It’s available in limited sizes and is a custom paper offering on request. If you are looking for something unique, then this is for you.
To celebrate quality craftsmanship and an appreciation of fine art, I’m giving away this stunning Esperance print framed in a gorgeous Australian made Pressi Frame by Corner Block Studio. Made in Australia by sustainable hardwoods, the Pressi frame is a clever and simple way to frame your art pieces and is available to purchase directly through Perth Pro Lab.
